Wings & Things...

Bo's birthday is today so last night we got together with Bo & Abigail to celebrate.  We had wings and pizza which were amazing! After dinner they came over to our place to play Pandemic, the game we got him.  It is a fun game but we played it twice and lost both times.  I think we were all tempted to try again but it was way past Paul's bedtime so we will have to wait to try to win until another time.  I am glad my parents had an oops baby because Bo is not only a great brother but is also a great friend!

Weekend Fun

This weekend was a ton of fun!
On Friday we had dinner at Bo & Abigail's and stayed up playing games until pretty late.
On Saturday we drove up to Red Rock's Spring Mountain Ranch for a little hike and fun with our friends the Isbells and Seymours.  It was perfect weather and great to be outside for a few hours.  The other two families had to go a bit early so we stuck around and Paul read some of Charlotte's Web to Jude and I. Once down from the mountain we headed to a tapas restaurant near our house called Barcelona.  It is good but a bit expensive so having a 50% off coupon got us there and I am glad it did cause we tried stuffed artichokes for the first time which I thought was pretty amazing.

When we got home we all passed out for a bit from the long day before heading out again. We had dinner at our Elders Quorum President's home with the Elders Quorum.  The food was amazing as was the company.  Even Jude hung out with some friends.  He is the youngest of the group the other two are one but he held is own and the good thing is, since he can't move around, they both came to him.
After the BBQ we hung our with the EQP and his wife for awhile before heading over to the Isbell's home for games with them and the Seymours.  It was a busy weekend but a lot of fun. I am so thankful for good friends and family.

Sunday Stroll...

We have a park pathway that connects to our neighborhood that we love.  On Sunday afternoon we went for a little walk then hung out on a blanket for awhile.  Paul read some of Charlotte's Web to us while Jude played.  Paul napped for a bit before we headed back to the house for dinner.  It was perfect weather and just a lovely day.  I LOVE the week of spring we have in Las Vegas and wish it would last longer!

A Very Merry Tatum Weekend!

This past weekend Paul's mom and little brother came in town from Utah and his dad came in from California so we had a busy weekend playing with everyone.
Thursday we just hung out at Kyle's house and invited Bo and Abigail over too.  We played games and chatted but didn't stay too late cause Paul had work the next day.
Friday some of us went to the container park in the morning.  After Paul got home we met up with  Paul's dad, little brother and Kyle's family for a ward fundraiser.  It was pretty lame but Paul had to karaoke with the rest of the young men's presidency which was entertaining.  After we got burnt out there we headed to Cheeburger Cheeburger for some shakes.  They were super delicious and a great way to end the night before playing games at our house for a bit.
Saturday went out to lunch and then bowling.  Bowling was a ton of fun  cause I feel like we haven't been in ages.  Jude was so tired he passed out in Paul's mom's arms while we all were all playing.  She seriously is such a great grandma!  After that we  headed back over to Kyle's house for the night.  Paul and I slipped out for a little bit to the movies while Paul's mom watched Jude which is always amesome!  Then we ended the night playing Settlers of Catan yet again.  I love that game but think I need a break. It was a busy few days but I love hanging out with all the Tatums.

Jude's First Library Story Time

I took Jude to his first story time at the library this week.  He was a bit confused as to what was going on but liked it enough that it will be a regular for us.  The lady in charge did a great job and the class is for 0-3 year olds so it worked out to go with Bubs and her kids.  It was fun but we weren't there for more than 5 minutes before some little kid tripped and landed on Jude scratching his face pretty bad.  I thought it was funny and made for a good story to have for his first story time.

Silly Lily!

Over a year ago Paul's brother and his family moved to Las Vegas.  I have loved having more family in town especially our niece Lily.  She is so stinkin' cute and loves playing with Jude.  The other night they came over for games and while we were playing we noticed that Lily, who recently turned two, had climbed into Jude's saucer toy ans put his pacifier in her mouth.  I thought it was so funny.  I love that girl!

FHE

Last week for FHE Paul & I walked Jude and Stella down the walkway by are house up  to the park to play bocce ball.  We didn't get to play long before it started to get dark so we headed home for dinner.
My brother gets to bring left over bread home from work sometimes and so we decided to have a pizza bake off.  We each made two types of pizza then put them in the broiler for a couple of minutes.  I got 1st and 4th place and Paul got 2nd and 3rd place so I guess we tied.  Although my 4th place pizza was pretty bad, it was a hamburger pizza and just wasn't right.
We had a great time and I am happy for little FHE's we have each week.
