Baby Boy!

Last week Paul & I went to the doctors for our ultrasound appointment to find out the gender of Scouder.
The wait seemed like forever but when we finally got back there the ultra sound was amazing.  The ultrasound technologist showed us the little fetus from lots of different angles.  From measuring limbs, the length of the baby and the size of it's head.  She also showed us the heart and the blood going through it as well as the different parts of the brain.  We heard the heart beat again it was amazing.
Then she told us the sweetest news...  It's a Boy!  We were so excited and surprised.  When I asked if she was positive it was a boy she said "It's either a boy or a really weird looking girl."
After the appointment we went to Thrifty's to celebrate and get some delicious ice cream.

Best Birthday Gifts Ever!

The other day Paul & I got a package from our good friends the Knoteks with the best birthday gifts ever!
Paul got a Captain Hammer, from Doctor Horrible's Sing-A-Long Blog,  t-Shirt.  I got a Bob Ross t-shirt with a tiny happy tree on the back.  And baby Scouder got a onesie with Darth Vader.
Alison is so cute and crafty and made these awesome shirts that turned out amazing!  We seriously love them. She is always so good at that kind of stuff and I am not.  I am the farthest from crafty which makes us appreciate it even more.
Thanks Knoteks we love our gifts!

Baby...

January 10th, 2013 one of the best days of my life!  At 6 AM before Paul left for student teaching I got up and took a pregnancy test.  Now I had taken a lot of these so I tried not to get too excited but that time it was positive. Paul and I were so excited we just hugged for a long time. The rest of the day I had a huge grin and couldn't stop smiling/crying out of pure joyful happiness.

Our first appointment was February 13th.  I was so nervous while waiting in the waiting room.  Paul of course calmed be down and told me I was being silly.  When we got to the back after they took a ton of blood they sat us in a room until the nurse came to do her thing.  Above the table were I was sitting/laying was a creepy bear that said relax.  It did not work in the way they were going for but cause it was so creepy and weird I had to laugh.  The nurse even took us in for a little ultrasound.  We didn't think that we would be able to see the baby so soon but sure enough the little peanut was there chillin' with it's feet kicked up and a big ol' alien head. Even so I thought it was cute and of course once again started crying.

Paul and I tried to keep our cool but started buying little stuff.  I got a bib for the baby that said I heart Dad and he got me a few kids books and a picture frame that said I love my Mommy.  We were too excited not to start celebrating.  Our little jelly bean should be arriving in early September!

It's Birthday Time!

Paul's 26th birthday was Friday so I surprised him and took off work.  I got him a Postal Service t shirt that he had had when we first started dating.  He was so happy and excited when he saw it.  He loved it!

For dinner we met up with his family and Bo & Abigail at Buffalo Wild Wings.  It was good to get together and was great food.
After Paul & I and Bo & Abigail headed to The New Orleans Casino to hit up the Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory for caramel apples.  He fell in love with them while we were in San Francisco so it was a great treat.
We then headed home and played games.  Overall it was a fabulous night!

Saturday night my whole family, in town, and Red's parents and friends all got together for her surprise 40th birthday party.  Ryan planned a huge dinner party at the Roadrunner and surprised Red.  Even her best friend from Chicago was there.  She was totally shocked and had no idea it was coming.  Ryan did a great job!.

Easter Fun!

Yesterday was Easter Sunday.  We were lucky enough to have Paul's Mom and Brother come in town to celebrate it with us.  We stayed up talking and playing Saturday and then got up Sunday morning for church.  After church we headed home and got dinner ready.  We ate and played some more than went to take family pictures at the park.  Paul and I brought our kites that the Easter Bunny left us then walked home from the park to try to fly them a bit and have some one on one time.  It was a great Easter and fun to have time with the Tatums.
