Yesterday was the Fourth of July and it was a blast! Paul & I got up in the morning and went for a hike up in Mount Charleston. It was the Mary Jane Falls hike and was a bit tough on the way up but totally worth it. Once down the mountain we grabbed a blanket from our car and had a little picnic by the parking lot.
When we got home we showered and got ready. We invited Paul's dad and brother over to hang out. We ended up playing The Match Game. It was tons of fun and reminded me of back in the day when my family would play it for FHE. We then headed over to Memphis Barbecue and had appetizers with Paul's family.
As soon as we finished we went over to Ryan's house for dinner and fireworks. The kids all played soccer after dinner until it got dark so we could start the fireworks. Ryan had gone all out and we had a great time. After the fireworks we ended the night with strawberry shortcakes.
Overall it was a very busy yet fun day.
